Description
The Land Cruiser’s rear window system varies greatly by series. Classic models (like the 60, 80, and 100 Series) feature a beloved split tailgate where the rear window glass is integrated into the upper hatch that lifts up, while a lower gate folds down. Newer generations, such as the 200 Series and the recently reintroduced Land Cruiser (250/J250 Series), often feature a convenient rear lift glass access point, allowing the window to be opened independently of the main liftgate for quick cargo retrieval without opening the full door. Aftermarket options like ‘gull wing’ style windows are also popular for overlanding builds on 80 and 100 Series models.
